"I listened to the Alexandria Levin recording today. She made a tough subject - pricing one's art - sound so sensible! I ordered her book. Thanks for thinking to invite her as a guest speaker. She was very good."

Eventual Poetry Books
Two books of poetry are in progress. A sample poem is below. Meanwhile, you can find illustrated lyric poetry by the author by clicking here.
On the So-Called Emergence of an Artist
Emerging like a baby chick
all fragility and fluff
saturated with the goo of an egg
a yellow marshmallow puff
albumen sticking to feathers
who sneezed out this stuff?
sound the alarms
the red sirens ringing
we’ve got another case here
it’s best to leave it hanging
This is no spring chicken
come recently out of the cave
through spaces between the boulders
a pastel native to naiveté
that pony expressely requested
one thin dime for her time
such a pittance of a price
when she was being so very nice
They have an astonishing distaste
for unacceptable breeding
but currying favors
makes one considerably flavorful
to the self-appointed generals
see them ordering supper in a row
